Why Duke Guards Jared McCain, Tyrese Proctor Should Consider Returning For Their Sophomore, Junior Seasons At Duke In 2024-2025 Season

Regular Season, Postseason that includes Atlantic Coast Conference Tournament, NCAA Tournament championships!

None of those goals were accomplished by Duke in 2023-2024 season as North Carolina won the regular season, Duke lost to NC State in the 74-69 loss in the quarterfinals of the Atlantic Coast Conference Tournament on Thursday March 14, 2024.

As Duke sustained 74-69 loss to NC State in quarterfinals of ACC Tournament Mark Mitchell was 8-13 on field goals, 2-2 on 3 pointers to go along with 8 rebounds , 1 assists, 1 steal , 1 block, 18 points. Kyle Filipowski was 13-20 on field goals, 0-1 on 3 pointers to go along with 14 rebounds, 1 assists , 3 steals, 28 points . Tyrese Proctor was 4-16 on field goals, 2-7 on 3 pointers to go along with 7 rebounds , 5 assists, 10 points . Jared McCain who got injured by Jalen Blakes before the game in the warm up line who had receive 3 stitches above his eye brow prior to the game was 2-6 on 3 pointers, 0-3 on 3 pointers to go along 3 rebounds, 4 assists , 8 points. Jeremy Roach was 1-6 on field goals, 1-4 on 3 pointers to go along with 2 rebounds, 4 assists , 5 points. While the players that came off the bench produced no points as Sean Stewart was 0-1 on field goals to go along with 1 rebound. TJ Power was 0-3 on field goals, 3 pointers to go along with 2 rebounds. Ryan Young was 0-0 on field goals, 3 pointers to go along with 0 rebounds , 0 assists, 0 steals.

As a team Duke shot 43.1 field goals 25 % on 3 pointers.

With that mind, I think Tyrese Proctor, Jared McCain should consider returning to Duke for their sophomore, junior season so Duke can get back to winning championships! Though, will Tyrese Proctor, Jared McCain return for their junior, sophomore seasons.
