NC State And Notre Dame Are On Opposite Ends Of The Spectrum Coming Into Their Game Tonight In South Bend

NC State and Notre Dame are on opposite ends of spectrum coming into their game in South Bend!

Why?

Because NC State currently is on a winning streak!

NC State who comes into the game with a record of 12-9 while they’re 8-8 in the Atlantic Coast Conference and tenth in the Atlantic Coast Conference standings. “according to the acc.com/ standings has won four straight Atlantic Coast Conference games!

Verses who?

Pittsburgh, Wake Forest , Virginia and Pittsburgh again!

NC State knocked off Pittsburgh February 17, 2021!

Where?

Pittsburgh Pennsylvania by a score of 74-73!

Why?

Then, they beat Wake Forest by a score of 80-62!

When?

Saturday, February 20, 2021!

Where?

Winston -Salem North Carolina!

Why?

NC State rode a balanced attack to an 80-62 defeat of Wake Forest inside of Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum

Then NC State topped fifteenth ranked Virginia by a score of 68-61!

Where?

Charlottesville Virginia!

Why?

Virginia kept coming in the second half as Sam Hauser connected on two three-pointers in the first two minutes to tie the game at 29. Virginia would go on to take its one and only lead, 35-33, on two Jay Huff free throws with 14:31 remaining in the game.
But NC State responded with the next eight points to take a 41-35 lead with 11:16 remaining on a Shakeel Moore lay-up and Virginia would never get closer than four points the rest of the game.

Virginia would make one final push, cutting a 51-41 NC State lead to 57-53 on two Huff free throws with 11:11 to go, but the Pack would hit 11-of-12 free throws down the stretch to prevent UVA from completing the comeback. “according to an article on gopack.com”

And then return to Raleigh and beat Pittsburgh again!

This time by a score of 65-62!

scored eight of the first 10 points of the second half to cut NC State's lead to four, but the senior duo of Beverly and Funderburk would combine to score nine of the Pack's next 12 points as a 12-2 NC State gave the Pack its largest lead of the game at 14, 45-31, with 14:41 to play.

Pitt would not go away though as an 11-3 run would bring Pitt back within six with 11:11 to go.

While Notre Dame meanwhile is on a losing streak!

Because they have lost three straight games!

They lost to Syracuse by a score of 75-67!

Notre Dame was  nearly flawless on offense in the first half of play, scoring 46 points on 18-of-33 (54.5 percent) shooting to build a 46-32 lead at the break. The Irish were effective from beyond the arc, knocking down 7-of-14 threes. Wertz and Durham combined for 21 points to pace the Notre Dame defense.

Unfortunately for the Irish, the offensive efficiency did not carry over to the second half, as the Syracuse pressure disrupted Notre Dame’s rhythm. After pushing the lead to as many as 20 at 55-35 early in the second stanza, it was all Syracuse the rest of the way. The Orange finished the game outsourcing the Irish 40-12 to escape with a 75-67 win.

Notre Dame lost to Louisville by a score of 69-57!

Notre Dame struggled to find rhythm on the offensive end in the first half, scoring 24 points on 9-of-28 shooting. Fortunately, Notre Dame held the hosts to 33 points to keep the deficit to single-digits at 33-24 at the halftime break.

Notre Dame managed to chip away at the host’s lead, trimming it to five points at 56-51 with 6:26 left in the game. However, Louisville responded with seven straight of its own to push the advantage back to double digits at 63-51. Notre Dame was topped by Boston College by a score of 94-90!
