He’s one of the main guys leaders on this team,” as well as Darrion Williams who was 4-6 on field goals, 0-2 on field goals to go along with 3 rebounds, 6 assists , 8 points by saying He was more of a playmaker today,”We don’t ever want Darrion to take a back seat. But, when the ball’s in his hands, good things happen. … He hasn’t been as good as he’s capable of. He’d be the first to tell you, but we’re going to get him there. I have a lot of confidence in him and a lot of belief in him and think that he’s going to be fine, long term.”
When he does stuff like that, as a freshman, I just look at him, like, ‘Yo, there goes.’ … The extra possessions we got from him, out-hustling dudes, It was just a great it was just great to see on the court. And, when you’re on the court, it just feeds into your energy. It makes you want to make those plays, play harder, do your job better.”
Following NC State ‘s 75-63 win over UNC Ashville on Saturday December 6, 2025 Head Coach Will Wade shared his thoughts on his team by saying t wasn’t the team’s best game. It didn’t shoot the ball particularly well, and the defense was a little better. He admits that bar is low. “I wouldn’t say it was perfect. We just needed to win,
Been a rough couple days on them, but we needed a win. We’ve got a big week ahead of us.”
