Who is Sebastain Wilkins?

Power forward from Canton Massachusetts who committed to Duke, Head Coach Jon Scheyer who was originally class of 2026 is reclassifying is coming to Duke in 2025 instead.

Wilkins came up the ranks as a forward who could put the ball on the floor at a young age. Since then, he’s developed his shooting range and extended his skill-set away from the basket while simultaneously making real gains defensively. He’s evolved into a modern-day combo-forward who can play and defend multiple positions.

Measuring in at 6-foot-8 (with shoes on) and a 6-foot-10-plus wingspan, he has good size and a solid natural build that should only keep expanding. He’s a fluid mover for his size and a solid, albeit not dynamic, vertical athlete. In additional to being switchable defensively, he’s a willing rebounder.

Offensively, while his shooting gains have added to his versatility, he still needs to get more consistent from long rage. He made 40% of his threes in the 2024 3SSB season, but dipped down to 30% as a senior at Brewster. He projects as a reliable spot-up threat with room and rhythm right now, and has showed some flashes of becoming a movement threat, although he’s not there quite yet. He’s still at his best going to the rim, especially when he’s matched up with less mobile defenders. He goes through the lane with long strides and has soft touch around the rim, but has to get a little more reliable with his decision-making after posting a negative assist-to-turnover ratio in both the grassroots and high school seasons.

Overall, Wilkins doesn’t necessarily project as an offensive focal point. He plays within the flow, doesn’t monopolize the ball, and could continue to ascend as a potential 3-and-D type prospect who can have some added value attacking close-outs against less mobile defenders.
