Though, Duke Head Coach Jon Scheyer said that Caleb Foster has not yet been ruled out for postseason saying He will rehab like crazy,”“I think the reality of it is we have to get to the Final Four. Following Carter Welling’s injury Clemson Head Coach Brad Brownell provided an update saying Yeah, I don't have obviously, they're going to do MRIs and all those things," Brownell told reporters. "I mean, I find it unlikely that he would play tomorrow. I haven't been told anything definitive."
Yeah, I don't have obviously, they're going to do MRIs and all those things," Brownell told reporters. "I mean, I find it unlikely that he would play tomorrow. I haven't been told anything definitive."It’s obviously disappointing, because I just thought we were really doing well tonight and would love to be at full strength,” Brownell said. “But I mean that’s part of it, so we’ll figure out a way to do that.”
The injury to Welling also does more than take a starter out; it fundamentally changes how Brownell operates on the bench. Clemson has leaned upon a “platoon system,” to maintain their bigs fresh and aggressive, a luxury that they would likely lack when pitted against any rested North Carolina squad. Brownell cracked a morose joke about the situation, and observed that the Tigers’ rotation is now extended:

Though,
Clemson Head Coach Brad Brownell wasn’t the only Head Coach to share his thoughts as Duke Head Coach Jon Scheyer did as well by saying I thought our defense was top-notch today,”“I thought we made it very difficult on them. Our defense made them take some tough shots, and we just had to keep going. That was exactly the kind of game I thought it would be.”
I thought their physicality knocked us back with some softer finishes and a couple of wasted possessions, a couple of turnovers,”
But our defense was right there. They scored 26 points.”We have to be an inside/outside team,”But they make it hard on you, make it hard to get in the paint and get the shots you want. In the second half, we did a better job of just settling in and playing to our strengths. “There was much better balance. We settled a little too much in the first half.”
