Duke, 14th Ranked Virginia Are Looking To Return To Win Column Following Losses At Uconn At Wake Forest As They're Opposing Each Other Saturday Afternoon In Durham

Duke is coming off a 34-37 loss at Uconn while 14th ranked Virginia is coming off a 16-9 loss at Wake Forest on Saturday November 8, 2025!

Duke is looking to return to win column because Duke sustained 37-34 loss to Uconn 37-34 Saturday in Hartford Connecticut because Darian Mensah threw pair of interceptions, fumbled.

Though, that lead was brief as Connecticut took 17-14 lead 20-14 lead as wide receiver Skyler Bell caught 4 yard pass from quarterback Joe Fagano, Chris Freeman kicked, made extra point giving Connecticut 17-14 lead before extended the lead 20-14 lead . In 3rd quarter Duke took 21-20 lead as running back Nate Sheppard ran for 3 yard touchdown , Todd Pelino kicked, made extra point. Though, Duke’s 21-20 lead was brief as Chris Freeman kicked, made 20 yard field goal for Connecticut giving Connecticut 23-21 lead before tight end Landon King caught 1 yard pass for touchdown from Darian Mensah for touchdown, Todd Pelino kicked, made extra point . In 4th quarter Uconn took 29-28 lead as Cam Edwards ran for 3 yard run from Darian Mensah, two point conversion failed before Duke tight end Jeremiah Hasley caught 10 yard pass from Darian Mensah where two point conversion failed giving Duke 34-29 lead.

Though,

While Duke is looking to return to win column following 37-34 loss at Uconn 14th ranked Virginia is also looking to return to win column following 16-9 loss to Wake Forest in Charlottesville because on Saturday Virginia lost to Wake Forest 16-9 because because their only offense was three field goals. The first field goal made from Will Bettridge was a 34 yard field goal in 1st quarter giving Virginia a 3-0 lead . The second field goal from Will Bettridge was a 21 yard field goal 6-0 . Will Bettridge kicked a 40 yard field.

Mike Monaco is a versatile and accomplished play-by-play announcer for ESPN. Adept at calling a variety of sports, Monaco joined ESPN in 2019 and has called Major League Baseball, NHL, Little League World Series, basketball, college baseball, football, lacrosse, volleyball and softball events.

Prior to joining ESPN and the ACC Network, Monaco was with FOX Sports and the Big Ten Network from 2017-19, where he called football, hockey, basketball, baseball, soccer, lacrosse, volleyball and softball. Monaco also previously called college basketball for NBC Sports and four seasons of college basketball games at Western Michigan University.

In addition to his work with ESPN, Monaco also currently serves as the fill-in play-by-play announcer for Boston Red Sox broadcasts on NESN. He has also called games for the Chicago Blackhawks, Chicago Bulls and Chicago White Sox.

After initially filling in on Red Sox telecasts during the 2019 season, Monaco returned to NESN’s Red Sox booth in 2020, 2021 and 2022 for select spring training and regular-season games. He previously spent the 2017-19 seasons with the Triple-A Pawtucket Red Sox.

Morrison is also the pre- and post-game radio host of the Los Angeles Rams on ESPNLA, and is a regular on Sirius NFL Radio. He is also a contributor to The Athletic, Bay Area, and a regular guest on sports talk radio shows across the country.

Morrison played for the Oakland Raiders for the first five years of his career, making his mark defensively immediately after being drafted in the third round of the 2005 NFL Draft. Morrison registered 116 tackles and recovered two fumbles during his rookie campaign. Morrison was traded to the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2010 and played there for one season. He signed with the Buffalo Bills as a free agent in 2011. After his retirement from the National Football League, Morrison transitioned to helping other NFL players experience the same post-NFL success he has enjoyed through his leadership role as a captain for the NFL Players Association Trust.

Morrison was born in Oakland, Calif. and attended Bishop O’Dowd High School. Morrison helped lead his high school team to two Northern California section 3A championships before accepting a scholarship to play football at San Diego State University. At SDSU, Morrison again asserted his dominance as a linebacker, becoming one of the most decorated football players in school history since Marshall Faulk. Morrison was a two-time All-American during his Aztec career, becoming the first Aztec to achieve that feat since Faulk (1991-1993).

Dawn Davenport joined ESPN at the start of the 2013 college football season and currently serves as a sideline reporter for college football games on ESPN and ESPN2, as well as calling play-by-play for SEC Network volleyball.

In addition to her sideline duties, Davenport is Nashville’s first full-time female sports radio personality on 104.5 The Zone. She previously worked as a morning show anchor for WKRN-ABC in Nashville, Tenn. for nearly ten years. Prior to joining the three-hour morning news show, Davenport was an award-winning weekend sports anchor and reporter for the station.

Davenport started her career at WWAY-ABC Wilmington, N.C., and then at WRIC-ABC in Richmond, Va., where she was a part of a sports department that twice won the AP Award for Best Year-Round Sports Coverage. She also worked events for the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) and CSS Sports, Atlanta.

Born in Plano, Texas, Davenport was raised in Atlanta. An honors graduate from Auburn University in December 2002, she earned a degree in mass communications/radio, television, film. Davenport was a three-year letterwinner and a two-time SEC Academic All-American member on the volleyball team.
