Duke, North Carolina Are Opposing Each Other Saturday Afternoon In Durham With Victory Bell At Stake

8 miles is the distance that separate the campuses of Duke University University Of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

The Victory Bell is the traveling trophy that was intuited in 1948 is given to the winner of Duke, North Carolina every season!

Duke currently has possession of the Victory Bell following 21-20 win at North Carolina in 2025 season!

Ahead of Duke, North Carolina game Saturday Duke Head Coach Manny Diaz shared his thoughts on Duke, North Carolina about rivalry week saying the bell has been put away following Duke sustaining its first loss of the season . Everyone understands what’s at stake following 28-25 loss to Georgia Tech . It’s rivalry week it’s an easy week to reset. We’ve done a good job in the time we’ve been here learning from losses. The trick is you’ve got to stay out of the narrative business of what it means - were we really this and now we’re really that none of that matters . We have the right to continue to improve as a football team and the only way you do that is if you don’t concern yourself with what it looks like right now like that’s a defining moment.

As for what Duke Head Coach Manny Diaz had to say about North Carolina North Carolina is well -schemed on offense under new offensive coordinator Bobby Petrino and using their personnel well . Like us, they’re winning low scoring or one score type games.

Though,

Duke Head Coach Manny Diaz wasn’t the only Head Coach to share his thoughts ahead of Duke, North Carolina opposing each other with Victory Bell at stake as North Carolina Head Coach Bill Belichick did as well saying I think generally speaking this team is more engaged they work harder , they’re more dedicated they put more into it so they get more out of it . It’s important to them.

According to ESPN App

Following Duke sustaining first loss of the 2026 season at Georgia Tech Saturday Head Coach Manny Diaz shared his thoughts by saying it was two teams going after one another we kind of felt like the game would come down to the last play of the game it did, and unfortunately that play didn’t go our way.

You can’t really learn about yourself until your in that situation down 11 the way our guys battled the way we believed we could win a football game the drives we made , the individual efforts some of the plays Walker Eget made were big time plays.

Though,

Head Coach Manny Diaz wasn’t the only one to share his thoughts following Duke’s 28-25 loss at Georgia Tech as Nate Sheppard who is running back who scored a touchdown did as well saying We have a lot of resilience. We show a lot of toughness and a lot of effort even when playing from behind.

Following North Carolina ‘s 21-17 win at Pittsburgh Saturday Bill Belichick shared his thoughts by saying We have to take better care of the ball.

Though,

Bill Belichick wasn’t the only one to share his thoughts as Billy Edwards Jr. did as well by saying Bill Belichick made an emphases of we’re a faster team so we need to show that , we need to play like that . And I think that play encapsulated a lot what he said in meeting this week.
