Dave Doeren is out as NC State Head Coach.

At the time of Dave Doeren being fired as NC State Head Coach Director Of Athletics Boo Coorigan said Dave Doeren was relieved of his duties effective immediately while also saying I want to thank Coach Doeren for his service and contributions to NC State, and for always representing the university with pride,"I appreciate his leadership during his 14-year tenure and the passion he brought to this role.  We wish Dave, Sara and his family the best in the future." 
Todd Goebbell who is running backs coach as well as special teams coordinator will serve as interim head coach for remainder of the season . Goebbel has been on Wolfpack staff since 2019.

Following NC State’s losing streak being extended to two games then Head Coach Dave Doeren took the blame for his team second straight loss saying it starts with me . The guys didn’t play well enough which means I didn’t have them ready . Just really disappointed in our defense.
