Will Wade replaced Kevin Keatts who was fired following NC State’s terrible season in 2024-2025 finishing with a record of 12-19 this season not making ACC Tournament , NCAA Tournament following making ACC Tournament, NCAA Tournament as well as Final Four a season ago.

A native of Nashville, Tenn., Wade has previously served as head coach at VCU, LSU and McNeese. He brings 11 years of head coaching experience to the Wolfpack and has led his programs to seven NCAA Tournament berths, including appearances in the last five.

NC State, South Carolina have opposed each other before! Their previous meeting was on November 23, 2007 when NC State ‘s Head Coach then was Sidney Lowe when South Carolina’s Head Coach then was Dave Odom when NC State knocked South Carolina 63-61 in Orlando Florida.
